Job Description Summary
JOB SUMMARY
The HVAC Technician is responsible for the proper Operation and maintenance of all mechanical systems and equipment. This includes but is not limited to: chillers, cooling towers, fans, pumps, heat exchangers, ancillary support equipment, water treatment, controls and BMS/EMS.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

this position description from time to time to meet the needs of the site
and/or building(s)
- Perform maintenance and repairs to all mechanical equipment and systems.
- Conduct building tours, maintain equipment loss, and report deficiencies for corrective action.
- Respond to all HVAC trouble calls and troubleshoot the systems to meet the operational and comfort needs of the building(s) occupants, where applicable.
- Be proficient ¡n the functionality of the BMS/EMS and understand the sequences required for proper building, equipment and system operations.
- Work with engineers, contractors and consultants in evaluating the proper operation of the building systems.
- Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and controls to determine problems and perform necessary repairs.
- Maintain HVAC equipment on an ongoing basis as part of the facilities preventive maintenance program.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, assisting other tradesmen, and emergency repairs.
- Adhere to established HVAC work order preventive maintenance schedule.
- Completes work in accordance with C&W Services Business Systems Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
- Create and maintain all operational SOPs for site specific equipment and systems.\
- Ability to work in a team or with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education and/or
Experience):
- Minimum of two to five years in a commercial building with field experience in performing preventive maintenance.
- Must be licenses in EPA Universal and Freon reclaim and OSHA certification.
- Education or training in HVAC, and controls. Knowledge of HVAC and components.
- Able to work independently and take initiative when necessary as well as capable of working as a member of a team and in conjunction with other trades.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and have excellent customer service skills.
- Prior history with preventive maintenance and ability to operate a variety of tools and mechanical systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Will routinely be required to bend, reach and hold awkward positions for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and lift and transport equipment in excess of 200 lbs., with others
- Observant which requires seeing, hearing, and smelling
- Must be physically able to work alone, climb consecutive sets of stairs, and work off ladders, staging, lifts, etc
- Work in confined spaces, stoops, and bends for long periods of time, and works on hands and knees and other uncomfortable positions for extended periods
- Routinely walks to and from various buildings carrying tools, equipment, and other essentials to the job site.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $25.50 - $30.00
