As an Installation Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems across retail, commercial, and pharmaceutical environments. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality installations while ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
Install and commission split and multi‑type air-conditioning systems
Carry out installation work including pipework, bracketry, cabling, and associated mechanical and electrical works
Complete and maintain accurate site surveys, commissioning reports, and installation records
Support the quotation process by identifying remedial, replacement, or upgrade opportunities
Liaise effectively with clients, site contacts, and other contractors on-site
Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard
Take responsibility for the development and progression of apprentices or junior technicians under your supervision
Relevant City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent certifications
Proven experience in the full installation of HVAC systems
Strong experience with DX systems, split and VRF/VRV systems, air handling units (AHUs), and ventilation plant
Experience in commissioning HVAC equipment
Ability to interpret technical documentation including electrical and fluid schematics, piping diagrams, and psychrometric diagrams
Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
A proactive, can‑do attitude with strong problem-solving skills
Good IT and computer skills
Full, clean Irish driving licence
