The Vice President of Human Resources (HR) provides guidance to the organizations HR operations. The Vice President supports the setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals. Supports various M&A activities including due diligence and integration.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborates with C-suite leadership to help define the organizations long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management and human capital initiatives.
- Assists with Human Resources strategic plan and departmental objectives, monitors and communicates results.
- Provides guidance to the human resource management team; assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
- Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
- Helps to establish and monitor the Company Culture of Caring and Leadership.
- Develops, revises, and communicates the company’s Human Resource policies.
- Studies Federal and State legislation and implements changes to ensure company policy reflects the latest standards of business practice.
- Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Masters or law degree highly preferred.
- At least ten years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
Pre-employment screening:

- Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
- Drug testing
- Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
- Proof of employment history or references (if required)
- Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
