Job Summary: Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Major Duties:

  • Positions at this level perform technical support work in recruiting, onboarding, employee development, background investigations and general human resource administration. Typical assignment(s) include: (1) developing job vacancy announcements and reviewing and rating job applicants while determining eligibility or evaluating the relative value of an applicants qualifications according to established credited plans procedures; (2) conducting background checks and pre-employment screening on candidates and verifying suitability for employment; (3) performing various clerical duties such as preparing personnel reports, entering personnel action changes, and managing official personnel files; (4) maintaining a high degree of contact with potential candidates, employees, and management by providing assistance regarding human resources related matters. Position may also be responsible for drafting local procedural instructions relating to the functional specialty. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in human resources or a related field appropriate to work of the position, or three years of practical experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. Practical knowledge and experience with talent acquisition, federal background screening requirements and a human resource information system. Must be able to effectively manage and administer an applicant and employment tracking system for assigned client groups. Ability to communicate orally and in writing with strong attention to detail. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
