If selected as an HR Specialist (GS-0201-7/9) in the Federal Talent Management Center, you'll support staffing, benefits, and strategic consulting, analyze data, assist projects, and ensure HR compliance.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications for the GS-07 Grade Level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-05 grade level (or equivalent) working in an HR environment, while performing the following activities: Applying HR laws, policies, procedures, and systems to complete personnel actions. Reviewing job applications, records, and supporting documents eligibility and qualifications. Providing customer service and guidance on HR processes and requirements. Supporting HR activities while following established procedures. OR Have one year of graduate level education in human resources, business, public administration, or another closely related field which provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the work of the position. OR Have a Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, public administration, or another closely related field that qualifies for superior academic achievement (as described in the vacancy announcement). OR Have a combination of specialized experience and graduate level education as described above that when combined totals 100% of the requirements .Minimum Qualifications for the GS-09 Grade Level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level (or equivalent) working in an HR environment, while performing the following activities: Performing human resources assignments in support of a human capital program. Reviewing records and documents to verify information and identify issues. Providing support and guidance on HR processes and requirements. Maintaining records and assists with reports, training, and related support activities. Supporting a range of HR functions in accordance with established procedures. OR Have a Master's degree in human resources, business, public administration, or another closely related field. OR Have two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's or equivalent degree in human resources, business, public administration, or another closely related field. OR Have a combination of specialized experience and graduate level education as described above that when combined totals 100% of the requirements. (Please note: Only graduate education in excess of the first 18 semester hours may be used in this calculation.) You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement. All Education must be accredited by an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (particularly positions with a positive education requirement.)
