Scope of Position
The Human Resource Specialist is responsible for supporting the efficient delivery of HR services to designated managers, staff, and faculty, for providing guidance on HR policies and processes, monitoring and reporting progress on key metrics. Supports the human resources team by providing human resources analysis and support services to maximize the effectiveness of HR processes that promote the organization’s strategic objectives. Serves as a role model for staff, management and faculty across the department and business, consistently representing the standards of service excellence.
Position Summary
This position ensures seamless HR support and exceptional customer service. In collaboration with HR Business Partner team, this role involves managing Workday and Service Now transactions, partnering with the HR Service Center, and maintaining compliance with payroll and internal controls. Building strong relationships with management, staff, and faculty is crucial, as is gathering customer concerns and establishing trust. The specialist assists with HR lifecycle processes, identifies educational needs, supports compliance efforts, and provides tactical support for organizational restructuring. Additionally, the role includes data analysis, reporting, and technical support, ensuring alignment and consistency in communication across organizational levels. Serves as an employee champion and communicates proactively to support HR practices and the overall delivery of HR Services.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Human Resources or related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources, business administration, or related work. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
Experience with HRIS systems functionality Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish ‘quick’ rapport with all levels of the organization.
Strong mind-set for continuous improvement and meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
