Job Summary: This position is on the Criminal Division's (CRM) Office of Administration, Human Resources team, which supports CRM's mission of prosecuting high profile and nationally significant cases. The Human Resources team is comprised of committed and customer-focused HR professionals, and our overall workload is dynamic and fast paced. We work on routine matters related to recruitment, staffing, payroll, and employee programs, as well as many unique and exciting requests from all 17 Sections of CRM.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: To qualify for the GS-11 grade level, applicants must have one of the following: Three (3) years of progressively higher graduate education, leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR At least one (1) year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-09 federal grade level. This experience must include duties such as: creating various HR documents, such as position descriptions, job analyses, process procedures, information papers or policies; providing technical HR services to employees and supervisors in the areas of recruitment/staffing, performance management, employee development programs, payroll, or reasonable accommodations; and responding to data calls and generating analysis; OR A combination of education and experience. To qualify for the GS-12 level, applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-11 federal grade level. This experience must include duties such as: creating various HR documents, such as position descriptions, job analyses, process procedures, information papers or policies; providing strategic guidance to managers, supervisors or hiring managers on HR topics, such as special employment programs, reasonable accommodations, performance management, or payroll; and responding to data calls and generating analysis. To qualify for the GS-13 level, applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-12 federal grade level. This experience must include duties such as: drafting human resources internal operating procedures and policies; compiling reports on human resources program activities; responding to data calls; and reviewing policies and regulations to determine impact to human resources programs. Combination of Education and Experience - Your current education completed is credited as a percentage of the education required for the grade level and your current experience is credited as a percentage of the total experience required for the grade level. The two percentages are added and must equal 100% in order to qualify for the desired grade level. All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
