Job Summary: The Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment and Placement) administers a wide variety of recruitment activities and programs to attract and retain well qualified candidates, provides technical advice, assistance and guidance, and coordinates a variety of related HR data and service initiatives. This is a Competitive Service position; additional positions may be filled from this announcement within 90 days of certificate issuance.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: In order to qualify for the Human Resources Specialist 0201 -12 position, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks - full-time) of specialized work experience, at the GS-11 or equivalent level performing the following duties: Advising, identifying, and analyzing staffing issues and problems; Providing advice on use of various recruitment sources; Performing the full range of examining functions including, creating assessments and vacancy announcements, reviewing applications, creating applicant referral lists, and responding to questions from applicants and hiring officials regarding the status of the recruitment action; and Assisting with internal audits and delegated examining self-assessments of completed personnel actions using existing guidelines and procedures.
