JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Partner (HRP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with management and employees in designated business groups through formulation of partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to support achievement of corporate goals. The HRP develops and maintains an effective level of business literacy about each business group and the company and its strategic plans, and is a trusted advisor, providing coaching and guidance that drives business outcomes and contributes to the enhancement of the overall organization.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct or attend regular meetings with respective business groups.

  • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.

  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR Centre of Expertise or HR Shared Services to develop solutions, influence changes to contribute to the development of programs, policies and resources.

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.

  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance in partnership with Centres of Expertise as required.

  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

  • Coach Leaders on proactive performance management and development planning and monitoring activities to support optimal employee outcomes.

  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

  • Provide HR policy and Collective Agreement guidance and interpretation.

  • Advise and provide guidance to executive and senior management on annual position budgeting including recommendations on how to leverage positions to achieve business goals.

  • Provide guidance to line management on the position management and position requisition processes with alignment to policies and guidelines.

  • Provide guidance and input on business group restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

  • Advise leaders on and support the development of new job profiles to meet evolving business needs and support the Centre of Expertise in the job profile review and evaluation process.

  • Assist client groups in identifying training needs for business groups and individual executive coaching / professional development needs.

  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow up with respective Leaders to ensure training objectives are met.

  • Proactively identify, facilitate, and advise on the resolution of complaints, step 1 grievances, and concerns to mitigate and manage risks creating an environment that promotes engagement and inclusivity.

  • Conduct strategic targeted recruitment activities and act as brand ambassador for candidate attraction

  • Other related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration with Human Resources concentration

  • Minimum 5 years of directly related experience with in-depth experience in more than one Human Resources function

  • Professional designation, or working towards a professional designation preferred

This is a management group opportunity and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

This is a management group opportunity. The annual salary range for this position identified below depends on experience, education, and professional designation. The successful candidate will be offered a salary within this range based on their qualifications.

Pay Range Minimum:

$89,420.99

Pay Range Maximum:

$134,130.81
