HR Manager

Job Summary:

  • The Human Resources team provides partnership to managers and employees across the organization on all aspects of talent management and culture. This role oversees all HR programs for two Chandler-based manufacturing organizations.

  • Serve as the HR contact, providing consultation and coaching to managers and employees to help drive business goals and foster positive employee relations

  • Consult on and drive talent and culture activities, including recruitment and selection, performance management, compensation, organizational effectiveness, succession planning, diversity and inclusion, career development, workforce planning, and leadership engagement.

  • Leverage HR Metrics & reporting, analytics and dashboards, and well researched market trends to share comprehensive, decision-ready insights with internal partners and senior leaders.

  • Partners closely with Global HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Expertise, Country HR Teams and business as a resource to execute short and long-term talent actions.

  • Provides HR Support to assigned business areas in a dynamic, collaborative and matrix environment.

  • Supports and executes various programs that enable NXP to achieve success through people.

Key Challenges:

  • Establish strong relationships with all HR partners and leaders in the factories.

  • Assist in driving other human resources activities and processes across the Chandler-based factories and NXP

  • Collaborate with the global HR team to identify opportunities for process improvement and consistency of key HR processes that improve our operating performance and achieve business goals

  • Provide leadership training, coaching, and development for managers

  • Develop and support effective employee communications

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition organization and business partners to define and drive strategic staffing plans

Cross functional aspects:

  • In this role, you will interact with several members of the HR organization including other HR Managers, Talent Acquisition, Global Mobility, HR Operations, Rewards, Legal, and the HR leadership team.  In addition, you will engage with leaders in Manufacturing, Front End Operations, Finance, and the Occupational Health/Environmental Health Services Department.   

Job Qualifications:

  • REQUIRED: 10 - 12 years of relevant experience supporting a technology business with at least 500-1000+ employees and contractors

  • REQUIRED: Experience working with both hourly and contract employee populations.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Masters degree preferable

  • Able to work across highly matrixed organization

  • Proven ability to operate independently

  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple HR functional areas including compensation, organizational development, staffing, leadership development, and talent and culture

  • Demonstrated experience successfully partnering with high level executives and managers

  • Demonstrated confidence and capability in handling difficult and conflict-based experiences with clients

  • Proven leadership experience in setting and driving an HR agenda

  • Able to provide thought leadership on the implementation of HR strategies to address organizational and talent development and other key personnel factors impacting a business

  • Able to quickly gain credibility with client team and global HR community

  • Able to identify the HR implications of business situations and strategy

  • Able to make decisions and leverage resources in support of group and NXP's objectives

  • Knowledge of strategic workforce planning, change management and organization development methodologies

  • Experience conducting internal investigations and managing a structured disciplinary process

  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of U.S. employment law

  • Strong business acumen

  • Strong organizational skills: demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs

  • Demonstrated ability to bring new solutions to complex issues

The successful candidate will be a customer focused self-starter, data and metrics driven problem solver, with strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast paced and an ever-changing environment.  They will have excellent communication and influencing skills, and proven ability to build programs, manage end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
