The HR Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring, employee relations, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. They will work with Senior Management to support HR Projects in line with company goals.

What You'll Do:

The HR Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring, employee relations, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.  They will work with Senior Management to support HR Projects in line with company goals.

  • Ensure that all necessary facilities and/or tools are available for use by employees
  • Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection (where applicable branch specific)
  • Maintains effective employee onboarding processes
  • Maintains effective compensation policies and processes and benchmarks against industry and legislative standards
  • Maintains employee benefit programs – identifying needs, and monitors effectiveness and participation.  Reviews industry benefits trends and makes recommendations (where applicable)
  • Manages and creates Human Resources policies and procedures that drive company values and goals
  • Manages Human Resource information systems - Maintain accurate records of employee performance, including quality audits, attendance records, and disciplinary documentation
  • Manages performance management processes to grow and develop talent and succession plans
  • Recommend transfer, promotion, or dismissal of staff, as is appropriate and manages off boarding processes
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
  • Deal with clients/ vendors/ stakeholders in a professional and appropriate manner, in accordance with the Company's Mission Statement, Promise of Performance, and Company Policy
  • Analyze all relevant statistical, performance, and employee metric reports
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource local statutory requirements.
  • Ensures global compliance by reviewing, monitoring and implementing human resources practices applicable for the site.
  • Manage payroll processes and ensure submission deadlines are met (where applicable branch specific) 
  • Champion company core values and other company programs to engage and motivate our employees
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

College Diploma or equivalent in the Human Resource or a related business field

Trinidad & Tobago – Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource or related field is required

Experience

2-5 years Human Resources work experience covering multiple disciplines, with managerial experience

Minimum of 5 years in a Human Resources Managerial role or equivalent work experience outside of the Company, would be an asset

Certificates, Licenses, & Registration:

Membership in a professional Human Resources organization (e.g. HRPAO or SHRM) is preferred.  Working toward HR designation is an asset.
