HR Manager - Colorado Springs, CO

As a trusted advisor, the HR Manager serves as a consultant to plant leadership on human resources related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent while building talent within the organization. The HR Manager seeks to develop an integrated approach and formulate partnerships across the HR function that deliver value-added solutions to leaders and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. Primary business relationships are with the Security plant leadership team, reporting into the HR Director.

As an HR Manager, a successful leader must understand the impact of their actions across the overall Allegion business. The ability to lead a team of HR professionals and model the Allegion values and leadership behaviors is critical for success. Broad thinking, curiosity and data driven decision-making are essential for this role.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead, develop and grow a team of HR professionals to accomplish business objectives.
  • Contribute to the Locks & Access Solutions SBU strategy by partnering with plant leadership to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, structures, and processes to meet business goals.
  • Partner with the SBU and plant leadership team to lead and facilitate HR strategy to include: team effectiveness, employee communications, career planning, performance management, coaching, employee engagement, learning and development, strategic talent management, organizational leadership review, change management and compensation to align organization with overall business strategy.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, data quality and innovation within the HR team.
  • Partner with leaders and HR Centers of Excellence to help identify and provide employees with learning experiences to ensure they are able to meet current and future performance goals.
  • Develop and implement solutions to organizational challenges by leading and coaching business leaders and teams through change; provide expert advice and coaching to drive successful communication & change management.
  • Support managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the business strategy; Partner with plant leaders to execute robust people planning programs in support of the Annual Operating Plan and make recommendations for change through the course of the year.
  • Lead the administration, adherence and execution of Allegion’s compensation philosophy, processes & practices for the Security location including consistent review and evaluation of local pay practices, market competitiveness, and overall pay for performance.
  • Work cross-functionally with HR groups and business partners to accomplish key business objectives and ensure the business has the resources and bench strength to achieve growth strategies.
  • Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR operational plan and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Human Resources as a strategic HR business partner or HR Manager in a manufacturing, distribution or similar environment
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience preferred.
  • Significant knowledge of HR policies and processes (e.g. performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, etc.); knowledge & experience with Colorado state employment laws & compliance strongly preferred
  • Strategic, values-based leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends, develop recommendations for action-based analysis.
  • Ability to influence through strong relationships, expertise and data to drive change.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills and ability to build collaborative partnerships.
  • Develop team of HR direct reports ensuring clarity of responsibilities and expectations while providing coaching and feedback to support their ongoing growth and development.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously as well as provide thought-leadership & direction to team members.
  • Ability to network and grow relationships across the business & HR function.
  • Demonstrated success in creating an environment of trust with client groups and peers.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.  

  • The expected Total Compensation Range: $79,000 - $147,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. 

  • Bonus Eligible: Yes
