Purpose of Role
The HR Intern/Assistant will report to the Director, Human Resources and will work as part of the Human Resources Team to provide HR support across the business, ensuring HR core admin & transactional processes are delivered effectively and in a timely manner.
The job holder will be expected to be an excellent team player, who is able to collaborate with the broader UM team on projects and programs, while also being able to work independently on specific tasks when required.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
· 0-2 years relevant Human Resources and/or Recruitment experience; preferably in a manufacturing or technical environment
· Post-Secondary Diploma in HR or Business Admin, or equivalent combination of education and experience in HR or Administrative services.
· Strong computer and administration skills (training will be provided on all our HR systems)
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Attention to detail and the ability to process large amounts of information quickly
· Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks
· Must be able to obtain the required level security clearance and pass all required background checks prior to the commencement of employment.
