Human Resources Intern (on-site, year-round, part-time) (f/m/d)

Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Complete new hire documents, including following up on missing documents; take questions from employees and work with the team to solve; assist with employee feedback surveys.

  • Communication: Update announcements on physical boards and develop additional content to post to boards and monitors; announcement of annual wellness event.

  • Administrative: HR filing, including organizing terminated files and preparing for shipment to storage; invoices; mail distribution; badges; stock lunchroom supplies; order lunches and coordinate delivery and set-up as needed; I-9 audit – review the files and see if any updates/changes are needed; upload completed trainings in QT9.

  • Computer: Assist with social media as needed in regard to employer branding; assist with entering new hire data in ADP; general research on a variety of topics (for example, new competitive non-traditional benefits, event ideas, etc.).

  • Benefits: Assist with new hire manual benefit enrollments in ADP; send reminders to supervisors of new hire enrollment deadlines; assist in benefits related projects assigned as needed.

  • Employee Engagement:  Member of the event planning committee.

  • Recruiting: Review resumes and conduct basic phone screens as needed; attend job fairs.

  • Coordinate the other interns and their onboarding.

Qualifications:

  • Expected graduation date December 2026-Summer 2027, pursuing a degree in HR (or related field with an interest in HR).

  • Local with ability to work on-site in Aurora year-round (part-time). There is flexibility in regard to work hours; however, Wednesdays are required.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

  • Prior internship/job experience strongly preferred.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Canva, and PDF.

  • Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
