What We’re Looking For

Are you an experienced Human Resource Business Partner who is highly self-motivated and business-savvy? Are you passionate about making an organizational impact as it pertains to people and culture?

We are looking for a confident, business-oriented HR Business Partner to join us in our fast-paced environment! This person must value achieving results while supporting our various departments to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR advisory role.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience providing HR support in retail/branch environments.
  • Strong knowledge of the BC Employment Standards Act and Human Rights legislation.
  • High level of computer literacy; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Teams.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work with urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Client-focused mindset with a strong commitment to achieving business goals while treating others with respect and integrity.
  • Reliable, collaborative team player with excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • General understanding of payroll and benefits administration.

Assets

  • CPHR designation (or working toward it) is an asset.
  • Experience using Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Insurance industry experience or knowledge is an advantage.


A Day in the Life

  • Support leaders in performance management, coaching, and development discussions.
  • Implement and maintain HR policies, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization.
  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, and change management.
  • Analyze workforce data and trends to identify opportunities to improve engagement, productivity, and retention.
  • Manage recruitment for designated business groups in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Drive succession planning and support organizational development initiatives aligned with long-term business goals.
  • Partner with Operations, HR, Talent Acquisition, and L&D to design and implement solutions to business challenges.
  • Oversee all stages of the employee life cycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues with fairness, empathy, and sound judgment.
  • Support the development and rollout of career-pathing and succession frameworks to strengthen internal talent pipelines.
  • Lead and support change management initiatives to drive adoption of new processes, systems, and cultural transformations.
  • Continuously assess and enhance HR programs to ensure they remain effective, scalable, and aligned with business strategy.
  • Other duties as assigned

The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
