A Brief Overview
The Human Resources Associate drives sales and delivers a positive customer experience by providing a best-in-class associate experience for all store associates. This role recruits and engages candidates, assists with onboarding and continued learning, champions associate engagement, and supports scheduling, payroll accuracy, and cash office functions. The Human Resources Associate has a passion for people and an attention for detail. This is an hourly position.
What you will do
- Demonstrate ownership and initiative in achieving personal goals, store objectives, and daily priorities.
- Support filling open positions timely through communicating openings, recruiting and sourcing candidates, reviewing applications, pre-screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
- Assist with associate onboarding, including preparing onboarding materials, scheduling training, assigning peer partner, and providing store tour. Ensure positive new hire experience by confirming associate understanding of their role, company policies, benefits, and scheduling, communication, and learning platforms.
- Champion store retention and engagement activities and support continuous learning initiatives. Contribute to a positive store culture by building meaningful team connections, celebrating individual and team achievements, and recognizing associate contributions and value.
- Communicate company policies, support associate understanding and adherence, and maintain associate files. Address associate inquiries on benefits, schedules, and company policies with professionalism, promptness, and care.
- Perform time and attendance activities, such as reviewing associate timecards for accuracy, tracking attendance, and supporting HR team with completing schedules.
- Complete daily cash office functions, including processing deposits, completing change orders, maintaining cash funds, and performing audits.
- Leverage training tools, use resources, and embrace feedback to build skills, boost knowledge, and strengthen performance. Stay informed of products, promotions, policies, and special events to enhance execution.
- Support in-store customer experience by providing excellent customer service and supporting the store during key coverage periods.
- Follow asset protection procedures, safety guidelines, and security protocols, supporting store shortage control, inventory accuracy, and minimizing risk in designated area.

- Available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must regularly move around all store areas and be accessible to customers.

Minimum Education & Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Ability to use computer keyboard, standard telephone and other related business equipment
• Ability to lift files, open file cabinets, bend, stoop, reach, and stand as necessary
• Must be able to maintain Confidentiality
• Experience in retail preferred
