Role Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced EHS Manager to lead / support Environment, Health & Safety operations across our commercial & residential real estate portfolio across Pan India. The role involves ensuring statutory compliance, managing fire safety operations, and leading a team of Fire Officers to maintain a safe, compliant, and sustainable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
EHS Governance & Compliance
Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and standards aligned with statutory requirements and industry best practices.
Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable EHS laws and regulations, including fire safety, environmental norms, and occupational health standards.
Maintain and update statutory registers, licenses, and approvals (e.g., Fire NOC, Consent to Operate, Hazardous Waste Authorization, etc.).
Implement and maintain management systems in line with ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management).
Fire Safety Management
Provide subject matter expert to the site Fire & Safety Officers to manage multiple commercial sites.
Conduct fire risk assessments, fire drills, and emergency preparedness programs.
Ensure maintenance and readiness of fire protection systems and coordinate with local fire authorities.
Incident Management
Investigate incidents and near misses; recommend and implement corrective actions.
Maintain incident records and prepare monthly EHS performance dashboards.
Training & Awareness
Conduct EHS induction and periodic training for employees, contractors, and vendors.
Drive safety culture through awareness campaigns and behavioral safety initiatives.
Audits & Inspections
Plan and conduct internal EHS audits and inspections.
Support external audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
Sustainability & Environmental Initiatives
Support external audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering / science / environmental studies.
Diploma in Industrial Safety (mandatory).
Minimum 5 years of EHS experience, preferably in commercial real estate, facilities management, or infrastructure.
Hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
Proven track record in managing statutory compliance and fire safety operations.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of EHS regulations, ISO standards, and fire safety codes.
Leadership and team management capabilities.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
Proficiency in MS Office and EHS management systems.
Preferred Certifications:
NEBOSH IGC / IOSH-MS
First Aid / Fire Safety certifications
