Role Overview

Providing operational and strategic support in terms of HSE regulatory and corporate compliance to integrated Commercial and Operation business units.  The HSE Regional Sr. Manager will provide leadership and coordination for all HSE management activities across South Asia.  The role will focus on driving best practice and benchmark standards in HSE.


What will you be doing?

  • Develops HSE policies and procedures to achieve and maintain compliance with applicable country, state, and local codes and regulations, including managing timely and consistent implementation.
  • Oversees identification and prioritization of HSE initiatives in support of business needs.
  • Coordinates the efforts in the development, implementation, and facilitation of financial resources.
  • Develop HSE infrastructure, including training, to create a culture that prioritizes HSE.
  • Manage Occupational Health resources and partner cross-functionally to manage injured employees, return to work and workers compensation/liability claims.
  • Primary liaison with insurance providers (property, workers compensation/liability) and government officials on matters of HSE and Life Safety.
  • Assigns work and provides direction for development and implementation of safety procedures oriented to accomplish emergency response and business continuity.
  • Standardize HSE management system content for the region.
  • Promote continuous safety improvement and report performance for all BU's, including overall ESG.
  • Develop and promote employee engagement and behaviour-based programs related to safety and wellness.
  • Oversees the proper and accurate reporting of balanced scorecard and sustainability/ESG data and metrics.
  • Promote and support the implementation of ESG projects such as carbon and waste reduction and pollution prevention including assisting with Group reporting, as required.
  • Regarded as the SME to business unit management for HSE issues and serve as a partner for all ESG project updates aligned with scorecards, and present continuous improvement opportunities in coordination with other internal SMEs.
  • Monitors environmental impacts in conformance with HSE policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Drives and participates in corporate HSE audits for Operations and Commercial areas and develop and implement an annual HSE Strategic Plan.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety engineering or equivalent
  • Experience:  5-10 years required in similar positions
