We are now looking for a HSE Manager for our business in Denmark!
The position is responsible for all HSE matters in Denmark, i.e. the plants, the installation business and the office location in Nørresundby. You will be responsible for developing and leading commercial safety in Denmark, supported by HR. The role will act as the main contact for all HS&E related topics for our Flat & Pitched business as well as for the Installation business in Denmark.
You will report directly to the Head of Installation Nordic, and you will work out from any of our office premises in Northern Jutland, or from our office in Hedehusene, Sealand.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Actively participate in emergency planning and response, including incident investigation to ensure thorough root-cause analysis and comprehensive corrective action.
Report serious incidents to the relevant functional heads and liaise with local authorities for investigation and inspections when required.
Carrying out regular inspections and audits.
Organize the job hazard evaluations to assess employee health and safety risks and develop and implement appropriate improvement plans.
Maintain the HSE Management System, including ISO 14001 requirements.
Ensure a policy of continual improvement is applied to HSE, by engaging employees at all levels.
Define, implement and monitor a yearly HSE action plan.
Deliver HSE training to employees as well as to external partners.
Collect, analyze and track performance KPIs for continuous improvement and Group reporting.
Actively participate in the HSE network, taking part in monthly meetings , benchmarking, and expertise sharing.
Delivering support to our business managers and local plant & regional managers to ensure HSE regulatory compliance is maintained by monitoring the requirements of all interested parties and by assisting with the development and management of regulatory compliance programs for waste, hazardous substances and employee safety.
Here's what you bring to the table:
Ideally you hold a university degree within health & safety or similar. Other training and/or degrees could be relevant depending on your qualifications. But most important is a solid operational experience from HSE.
Furthermore, you have a proven track record of several years in a similar position within HSE. Having experience from the construction business and larger international companies is highly beneficial.
We believe you have expert knowledge of environmental, safety regulations and Work Environment law. We also believe you have some experience in, and enjoy, conducting training of others.
You also have a very good ability to communicate to many different levels of stakeholders. You work orderly and structured, and you can quickly establish credibility and build strong working relationships.
You are resilient and comfortable operating in ambiguity since we are on a big transformation journey.
We also believe you have/are:
Experience in working in an international company, nationally with a multi-site organization.
Solid experience from digital tools such as Google suite or MS Office.
In addition to fluent Danish, you are proficient in English.
