Your responsibilities
Implements and maintains the organization’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management system in alignment with legal regulations and company standards.
Conducts regular site inspections, safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures.
Ensures compliance with relevant HSE policies, statutory requirements, permits, and documentation at site and workplace.
Leads and supports incident/accident investigations, identifies root causes, and ensures corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented.
Coordinates emergency preparedness, including drills, mock exercises, training, and safety awareness programs.
Conducts induction training for new employees, contractors, and visitors regarding site-specific HSE requirements.
Monitors and reports HSE KPIs, including unsafe conditions, near misses, incidents, and environmental performance.
Collaborates closely with site leadership, contractors, and employees to ensure adherence to safety culture and continuous improvement.
Supports implementation of environmental management practices such as waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation.
Maintains all necessary HSE records, statutory files, permits, and compliance documentation as required by authorities.
Promotes a culture of Zero Harm, encouraging safe behaviour and ensuring everyone takes responsibility for safety.
Escalates critical issues to HSE Manager when required and assists during regulatory inspections.
What You Bring – Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
5–7 years (or more) of experience in Health, Safety & Environment roles within , manufacturing, construction, Heavy material lifting or related industries.
Diploma/Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety, B.Tech/B.Sc in relevant field, or equivalent recognized HSE qualification.
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, IOSH, First Aid, Fire Safety, etc., are preferred.
Hands-on experience in risk assessment (HIRA/JSA), incident investigation, and safety audits.
Strong understanding of statutory HSE laws, including Factory Act, Environment Protection Rules, and other compliance frameworks.
Ability to interpret and enforce technical safety standards, PTW systems, SOPs, and safety procedures.
Demonstrated capability to influence stakeholders and ensure contractor compliance.
Good communication, reporting, and training skills.
