Act as a strategic HR partner for Manufacturing operations in
Pindamonhangaba, providing strong support to production, maintenance,
logistics, quality, and EHS teams. This role requires deep experience in
industrial environments, hands-on presence in the shopfloor, and solid
knowledge of Brazilian labor legislation. The HRBP Specialist ensures
consistent HR processes, employee experience, compliance, and
development initiatives that enable operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manufacturing-Focused Responsibilities
• Serve as HR partner for production and operational areas, ensuring full
understanding of manufacturing dynamics, shift routines, workforce needs,
and operational challenges.
• Lead HR processes for plant workforce: employee relations, disciplinary
actions, absenteeism, turnover, workforce stability, and engagement.
• Guide supervisors and coordinators in people management practices,
labor compliance, conflict management, and team development.
• Conduct recruitment and onboarding for operational and administrative
roles, ensuring fast turnaround and alignment with manufacturing
requirements.
• Ensure strict compliance with Brazilian labor law (CLT), collective
agreements, working hours, overtime, shift work, leave management, and
safety obligations.
• Partner with EHS to support accident investigations, preventive actions,
safety culture and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor HR manufacturing KPIs: turnover, absenteeism, occupational
health indicators, training compliance, disciplinary trends, and headcount.
• Support and implement performance cycles, calibration, development
and succession planning across manufacturing teams.
• Maintain accurate control of working hours, timesheets, overtime,
vacation planning, and workforce cost impacts.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
initiatives, contributing from the HR perspective.
• Execute training and development programs for operators, supervisors,
and technical staff.
• Support labor audits, internal audits, and corporate compliance
requirements.
• Work closely with leaders to maintain a stable, safe, and
high‑performance environment aligned with Neogen’s values.
General Organizational Responsibilities
Occupational Health and Safety (OSH)
• Comply with all safety protocols and use PPE/EPC as required.
• Report incidents, unsafe conditions, and collaborate in preventive
programs.
Quality Management System (QMS)
• Maintain updated HR documentation required under QMS.
• Act on findings, indicators, and non-conformities within defined timelines.
• Support continuous improvement, organization, hygiene, and discipline in
the plant environment (5S standards).
Skills and Competencies
Manufacturing & Labor Law Expertise
• Strong knowledge of industrial operations, shopfloor dynamics,
production processes, and workforce management.
• Solid understanding of CLT, labor jurisprudence, CCT/union rules, shift
structures, overtime regulations, and compliance routines in Brazil.
Consultative Leadership
• Build trusted relationships with plant leaders, offering guidance and data-
driven insights.
• Facilitate communication between HR, supervisors, and employees.
Data-Driven Decision Making
• Use people analytics to identify trends and propose effective actions.
Change Management
• Support organizational transitions while maintaining operational stability.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Law,
Engineering, or Human Resources.
• Minimum 3 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant
environment.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian labor law (CLT) and collective bargaining
rules.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills.
Desirable
• Experience with lean manufacturing / 5S / TPM.
• Intermediate Spanish.
