 About the role:

The HR Business Partner – Gran Charcon Distillery, brings to life the HR strategies and initiatives at the green field and creates People & Culture readiness. The role is responsible to shape thinking and operationalize the Strategic Workforce Plan, OD and OE working closely with the Category HR leadership, the Manufacturing Leadership and collaborating efficiently with GSC&P HR team. The role acts as a bridge to align and shape the people and culture agenda to deliver the short term and long-term performance ambition of the distillery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The HRBP will play a pivotal role in shaping the workforce and talent strategies and organizational capabilities needed for a vertical take-off.

  • Creates robust staffing plan, partners with operations and TE to resource for our biggest opportunities at pace, strong proactive pipeline of talent, and creating exciting, accelerated career paths for people which accelerate their development. Creates balance to infuse talent from Diageo and market.

  • Champions our Inclusion and Diversity agenda at the design stage creating impact through all HR levers (talent, reward, culture, learning, etc.).

  • Partners with team members to define a culture embedding Dial Up Behaviors.

  • Build high performing teams, coaching line managers to create an agile, stretching and focused performance environment to enable outstanding performance.

  • Actively collaborate with the E2E Diageo HR team, including shared services and our Centres of Excellence, to deliver amazing employee experiences every time.

  • Instils a continuous learning culture throughout the Category ensuring employees have access to stretching experiences and great learning content that fuels constant growth in their capabilities and our business performance.

  • Partners with the Employee relations leader to maintain a healthy and productive Employee Relations (ER) Climate at the distillery. The role is the first level escalation for Employee Relations matters such as individual end-to-end ER case management (e.g. Disciplinaries, grievances, ill health retirement, long term absence etc). And for advising with union and non-union forums around change, developing great Union relationships.

Qualifications & Experience required

  • The candidate shall bring thought leadership from deep Functional Knowledge of managing HR for a large manufacturing site to shape the People & Culture Strategy that is fit for purpose for the context. Able to create priorities that spanning across all strategic levers, looking beyond the financial year on how to bring the future forward and creating performance impact at scale.

  • The candidate shall have solid Business Accumen (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale, Sustainability) to be able to create new opportunities and ways forward through diverse inputs using external intelligence and insights from HR data, analysing to measure impacts, assess plans, diagnose trends and link to business performance outcomes.

  • Leadership that is inspiring through purpose!  Demonstrates Dial Up behaviours to continuously improve HR delivery, harnessing innovation and technology to exceed our customer expectations.

  • Provoke / Challenge to surface problems and lead creative solutions through a culture of collaboration and standard methodology, removing duplication and championing efficiency and simplification.

  • Deliver outcomes through Interpersonal skills, building and nurturing genuine relationships based on mutual trust and respect, collaborating with and influencing across a variety of team members at all levels, resulting in strong and positive outcomes.

  • Thrives in an environment dealing with ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and matrixed environment.

Having experience with working across multiple countries, geographies and cultures.

A master’s degree or equivalent experience in human resource management with working experience supporting large manufacturing site with unionized population. Proficient in spoken and written Spanish and English will be added advantage
