The 2026 Summer Internship Program will run from May 18, 2026, through August 7, 2026. Candidates must be available to start on May 18 and participate through the duration of the program.

Join our HR team for a dynamic 12-week internship where you’ll gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of Human Resources. This is your chance to learn, contribute, and network while seeing how HR drives business success.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
HR Business Partner Support
Assist with various HR projects such as
Career pathing and career development programs
Performance review process and progress tracking
HR tools and job aids designed to assist leaders and employees
Support and gather headcount data to learn how HR partners with Finance
Centers of Excellence Exposure
Talent Management: Format review materials & participate in research and synthesis for programs like “Toro’s Got Talent” aimed at reimagining our performance review process
Learning & Development: Support engagement survey reporting and create templates.
Talent Acquisition: Observe and participate in meetings and recruitment planning as we move through the hiring process for open roles within the organization
Job Shadowing
Sit in on select talent conversations, engagement meetings and team meetings (as confidentiality allows).
Observe leadership discussions on organizational design and workforce planning.

What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
Experience & Education:
Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
We will only consider students who plan to enroll in a degree-seeking program after the summer (Sophomore or Junior)
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Skills:
Strong interest in HR strategy, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
Adaptable, flexible, and detail-oriented ability to handle ambiguity and changing priorities
Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and a customer service orientation
Ability to learn and train in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
