PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Take approved HR initiatives from concept and reality. Ensure all goals and objectives of the initiatives, which were the basis for their approval, are fulfilled. Responsible for all project management tasks for the initiative assigned to them. Work closely with project team members from various organizations, many outside of HR, to completed project assignments and provide required deliverables
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Management of all project components for assigned HR initiatives including Project Planning, Risk Mgmt, Issue Mgmt, Resource Mgmt, Status Reporting, CMCT, etc.
- Work with initiative sponsors, BU Service Partners, and HR Operations and Shared Services to staff the assigned projects appropriately. Proactively identify and escalate resources risks due to incomplete or inappropriate resource assignments
- Deploy all project management tools, templates, processes, and standards as appropriate, and in alignment with those used by other project managers in the HR Operations Excellence organization
- Proactively identify and address all potential project roadblocks. Work closely with key stake holders to resolve
- Provide status updates and input to the Portfolio Manager / Business Case / Value Analyst as required
- Provide meaningful, precise, and actionable status reports to key stakeholders on a frequent basis which highlight critical dependencies, risks, and action plans
- Develop and provide updates on key project performance metrics, including progress against the project timeline, deliverables, and budget. Highlight risks as appropriate
EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced Degree desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- 5 to 8 years of Project Management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong familiarity with HR Operations practices or direct experience working in a Global HR organization
- Strong Interpersonal skills, professionalism, and business acumen
- PMP, or equivalent Project Management Certification is desired but is not a requirement
