The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Operations Manager to lead our HR operations initiatives in the United States. This individual will be instrumental in optimizing our HR processes, leveraging our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system, provide ground level operational support for our compensation programs. What You'll Do:
- Manage and optimize all HR operational processes throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday HCM, overseeing system implementation, Testing etc in collaboration with our technical team and with other teams as needed. Oversee the change management process for Workday tenants, including testing, approval, and migration of changes to production.
- Ensure adherence to federal and state labor laws (FLSA, FMLA, EEO, and CCPA/Privacy laws), I-9 verification and compliance etc.
- Regularly audit employee records to ensure 100% data accuracy.
- Partner with and provide operational support to other HR functions including People Partners, Compensation, recruiting; liaison with Payroll for any pay related queries.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in HR operations, leveraging Workday capabilities and industry best practices.
- Act as a consultant to managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and Workday functionality.
- Stay informed on emerging HR technology trends, particularly in Workday, providing forward-looking recommendations for innovation and automation.
- Be part of global shared services team working in partnership with team based out of Gurugram, India.
- Act a primary point of contact of People Ops in US.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in HR Operations across. Prior experience in operational role in another HR functions will be an added advantage.
- Proven expertise with Workday HCM functional operation (creating position; onboarding new hire and other transactions running reports, preparing EIB files.
- Familiarity of U.S. labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

Pay Range: $80,000.00 – $96,000.00
The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Material. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
