Department Overview

This department is responsible for HR, specifically for the mobile-related business organizations, which is a key focus area for the Rakuten Group. Approximately 60 members support all aspects of HR (talent management, recruitment, training & development, performance evaluation, labor relations, HRBP).

While collaborating with Rakuten Group headquarters, this environment allows for end-to-end management, from addressing HR challenges specific to the mobile business environment (mobile market, retail store operations, global development environment, and talent composition) to planning and implementing solutions, managing operations, and fostering workplace communication.

Position Details

- Execute succession planning, performance improvement, and management development through evaluation operations.
- Design and operate HR systems (performance evaluation and compensation).

Work Environment

- Mobile & RTS HR Department (Overall): Approximately 60 members
- Talent Management Section: Approximately 15 members

Mandatory Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of practical experience in HR or organizational development.
- Experience communicating with management and other senior stakeholders.


Desired Candidate Profile
- Experience collaborating in a team and the ability to work with other departments.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing environments and new challenges.
- Basic Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Business-level Japanese and English proficiency.

Desired Qualifications:

- Ability to analyze problems and propose/implement effective solutions.
- Experience working collaboratively with people from diverse backgrounds, including nationality, religion, gender, etc.
