The HR Manager/Business Partner (HRBP) role at the Braves is a fractional leadership position, providing part-time, strategic HR oversight for the North Port / Spring Training facility. This role aligns human resources strategies with business objectives while offering hands-on support to management and staff.

As a consultant to management, the HRBP provides HR guidance, fosters employee relationships, and drives HR initiatives that support organizational goals. Acting as a change agent and champion of organizational culture, the HRBP ensures HR needs are proactively anticipated and addressed.

This position is ideal for an HR professional with strong interpersonal skills, a solid HR background, and a passion for driving HR strategies that support business success. The HRBP will play a key role in shaping organizational culture and ensuring HR processes align with overall business goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Consultation: Serve as the primary HR business partner to the VP of Florida Operations and site leadership team.

  • Data Analysis & Strategy: Collaborate with the HR team to analyze trends and metrics, developing solutions and policies that address organizational needs.

  • Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues through thorough, objective investigations.

  • Legal Compliance: Stay informed about legal requirements related to employee management, mitigating legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Work with the legal department as needed.

  • Performance Management: Offer guidance on performance management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and handling disciplinary actions.

  • Employee Engagement: Collaborate with management and employees to improve work relationships, boost morale, and enhance productivity and retention.

  • HR Policy Guidance: Provide advice and interpretation on HR policies to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Workforce Strategy & Succession Planning: Contribute to business unit restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planning efforts.

  • Training & Development: Identify training needs for leadership and individual coaching, ensuring the success of training programs.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Atlanta-based People Capital, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and support.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or q related field.

  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution experience required.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Workday is preferred.

  • Relationship Building: Strong ability to build relationships with stakeholders through a focus on service and delivery.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Project Management: Experience managing multiple initiatives with strong project management and prioritization abilities.

  • Service-Oriented: A collaborative, proactive, professional, and service excellence approach.

Additional Information:

  • This is a fractional role, providing strategic oversight and hands-on HR support on a part-time basis.

  • Supports full-time employees and seasonal staff across culinary, operations, facilities, and guest services functions.
