The HR Operations Manager will be responsible for leading a team of HR professionals to provide -day-to-day HR services to employees across multiple business units in various sites of Auburn Hills. This role will work closely with the HR Business Partners and other key stakeholders to ensure that HR services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner, and that they are aligned with the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of HR professionals responsible for providing HR services to multiple business units & Corp. functions at WHQ & PTC site including, university relationship, intern program management, temporary worker recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement programs, health and wellness programs, audit compliance, site training deployment and employee data/file management, etc.
  • Develop service level agreement and performance metrics. Ensure that HR services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner, and that service level agreements are met or exceeded.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers to understand their needs and provide proactive HR support. Review and evolve scope of services based on the business needs.
  • Develop and implement annual employee engagement plan and initiatives, including regular employee communications and various employee events.
  • Train up the team to be able to respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on country/site HR policies and procedures.
  • Develop, maintain and improve site related policies and processes, ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including employment and labor laws, and aligned with the company’s overall HR practices, continuously streamline the processes to be more effective and efficient.
  • Manage the site's HR budget, ensuring that costs are within approved limits.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive consistency of HR practices on sites across multiple BUs by influencing and aligning all stakeholders.
  • Conduct cross BU training needs analysis, plan, source and organize trainings as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers as needed.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in HR, including 3+ years of experience in leading HR teams.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures, employment law
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working in a large, complex organization preferred.

Salary Range:

$125,600 - $172,700
