HR Generalist

Position Overview:

Human Resources (HR) Services partners with Insulet’s Human Resources organization to manage and administer programs, processes, and technologies essential to fulfilling personal and on-the-job needs of employees and managers. This role serves as primary HR point of contact (POC) for the site providing customer service to candidates, hiring managers, human resources business partners, recruiters, and other employees throughout all levels of the organization. This role is responsible for supporting the entire life cycle of an employee from hire to retire by refining and executing processes that will impact the employee experience like talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, change requests and offboarding. Partners with Facilities/EHS/IT to enable a safe, compliant and well‑run site, and escalates complex ER or policy matters to the ER COE per the agreed governance mode

Key Responsibilities

Site HR Service Delivery & POC

  • Be the first‑line HR contact onsite for employees and people leaders; resolve Tier 0/1 inquiries (policies, HR portal/navigation, basic benefits & pay questions, time off, records requests) and channel/escalate per defined pathways (ER, HRBP, Total Rewards, TA).

  • Monitor the HR ticket queue (e.g., ServiceNow/AskHR) for the site; drive SLA adherence, quality responses, and first‑contact resolution where appropriate.

  • Curate and maintain site‑specific HR knowledge (e.g., local onboarding guides, parking, security, IT set‑up steps) and keep HR portal content current.

  • Provides support to global HR ticket queue as time allows.

  • Provide timely assistance to applicants, recruiters, and hiring managers. 

Employee Lifecycle (Onboarding → Offboarding)

  • Coordinate pre‑boarding and onboarding logistics with TA, IT, Facilities, and hiring managers (badging, equipment, orientation, , Workday data). Track completion within target cycle times.

  • To coordinate day 1 activities and welcome.

  • Support contingent worker and vendor onboarding steps as applicable (in partnership with HR Ops/GBS)

Quality Operational Model

  • To monitor candidate progressing and support the Sr HR Shared Services Coordinator with follow up.

  • To monitor completion of onboarding task on Day 1.

  • Be actively involved in organizational changes and to ensure the correct application of the changes on the HCM system

  • To ensure proper communication with the benefits vendor for any employee request

Employee Relations/HRBP support

  • Support ER investigations administratively (schedule, notes, document management) while maintaining strict confidentiality and neutrality.

  • Support hiring manager with a voluntary termination process

  • Support ER with a forced termination process (E.g signing of papework)

  • Support HRBP on required on site activities.

  • Attend any onsite audit like (STPS, IMSS or any other government request HR related)

Culture, Engagement & Site Operations

  • Support site engagement activities (new‑hire welcomes, recognition moments, event logistics) in partnership with HRBP/Comms.

  • Act as HR liaison with Facilities, Security, IT, and EHS for people‑related site needs; coordinate communications for outages, moves, or policy changes.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process gaps affecting the site; propose standard work, templates, and automations; contribute to HR service playbooks and knowledge articles.

  • Participate in pilots and process improvement initiatives (e.g., intake, onboarding orchestration, job/position management changes).

Qualifications

Minimum

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a Human Resources or Talent Acquisition function.

  • Bachelor’s degree and administrative experience in recruiting, staffing or HR department.

  • Working knowledge of core HR processes and local employment basics

  • Experience with any HR System for personnel administration (Workday is a plus)

  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and service orientation; ability to manage multiple priorities on a busy site floor.

  • Must be flexible, work well under pressure, and have the ability to readily adapt to change.

  • Strong customer service and teamwork orientation.

  • Strong computer skills and technical capabilities in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), Smartsheet and Workday is a plus.
