We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support our 24/7 manufacturing operations in Dun Laoghaire. This role is responsible for delivering efficient day‑to‑day HR operations, ensuring accurate and compliant HR data management, and generating meaningful people metrics and reports to inform business decisions.

This role would be a great fit for a practical HR professional with strong capabilities in HR systems, reporting, and analytics, who enjoys partnering closely with managers and employees in an onsite, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:

 

HR Systems, Data & Reporting

  • Maintain HR systems (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and timely updates.
  • Produce standard and ad-hoc HR reports and dashboards, including headcount, turnover, absenteeism, overtime, and training metrics.
  • Analyse HR data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the Operations function.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support workforce planning and operational decision-making.
  • Continuously review and improve HR reporting, data quality, and systems processes.

 

HR Generalist & Operational Support

  • Provide day-to-day HR generalist support to employees and line managers within Operations.
  • Act as a first point of contact for HR queries relating to policies, procedures, and employment terms.
  • Support employee relations processes including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, and performance management cases, ensuring fair and consistent application of policy.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding activities, including system setup, documentation, and coordination with hiring managers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.

 

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and Irish employment legislation.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate HR data and records.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives at site and global level, particularly those related to systems, reporting, and process optimisation.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives through accurate data tracking and reporting.

Education and Experience

  • BA in HR or other related Business discipline
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a HR Generalist, HR Operations, or HR Analyst role.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, operations, or fast-paced environment is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing HR systems, producing reports, and working with people data.
  • Practical experience supporting employee relations processes and applying employment legislation.

 

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong working knowledge of HR systems and data management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and HR reporting tools.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret, and present HR data in a clear and meaningful way.
  • Solid understanding of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working onsite in a manufacturing environment with a visible presence on the shop floor.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
