Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Country Manager to lead the Human Resources function across Egypt, Tanzania, Saudi Arabia, and Russia. The Country HRM is responsible for developing the country people agenda and its execution, in line with business priorities, global corporate principles and standards. He/She is the Business Partner for the Country Chair, VPs and GMs, across all business lines and functions. Within a natural leadership context, the HRM represents the whole HR function in country and partners with regional and global HRiB, CoEs and Service Centers to deliver world class HR services. Besides that, the country HR Manager is fully accountable for implementation of Global HR Processes and Services Execution, including Local Policy & Benefits, Rewards, ER/IR and DE&I plan, in line with overall Company EVP and culture. He/She will provide strategic HR leadership advice, coaching, development and support to the business, as a member of the local leadership team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the HR function across Egypt, Tanzania, Saudi Arabia, and Russia, ensuring alignment with both business strategy and local market requirements.
  • Translate business objectives into a comprehensive people strategy that supports growth, performance, and employee engagement.
  • Design and implement an integrated HR agenda covering employee relations, talent acquisition, learning and development, organizational design, compensation and benefits, and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations while aligning with global HR standards and practices.
  • Builds and improves Organizational capability with support from OD & Learning, Recruitment & Talent, to resource the business, enable organizational performance, drive team performance improvements and coach individual leaders on their personal effectiveness regarding engagement, team leadership and performance
  • Foster a high-performance culture that supports business objectives and employee development.
  • Drives Top Quartile Employee Engagement and Team Leadership performance for the full business scope and within own organization
  • Lead strategic workforce planning and long-term talent development initiatives to build a robust pipeline of future-ready talent.
  • Continuously grows the capability of the HR organization to ensure an effective HR Department capable of supporting the demands of the businesses in their pursuit of growth opportunities.
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services across all countries under his/her supervision.
  • Effectively leads an organization comprising of staff sitting across multiple countries.
  • Enhance employee relations practices and ensure effective consultation and communication with employees.
  • Ensures adherence to global and country policies and processes and identify shifts in local business requirements to influence changes in policies.
  • Makes wider HR leadership contribution as a Senior Member of the Country Leadership Team, providing strategic counsel and coaching to senior leaders.
  • Acts as a Chief of Staff of the Country Crisis Management Team as required.
  • Represent the Real Estate function in the Country Leadership Team.

2. People Leadership
Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of inspiring, engaging, and developing HR teams. Promotes collaboration, trust, and a positive culture across the HR function and wider organization.

3. Policy and Compliance Expertise
Comprehensive knowledge of HR policies, employment legislation, and compliance standards. Ensures consistent and fair application of regulations across all HR practices.

4. Change Management and Agility
Experienced in leading through change and navigating evolving business environments. Skilled in implementing new processes, systems, or technologies to support transformation initiatives.

5. Communication and Influencing Skills
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Handles complex and sensitive matters with professionalism, clarity, and confidence.

 6. Experience

20 years of HR experience including substantial experience as a HR Manager.

Experience in the Oil & Gas sector is a plus; we also highly value candidates with a background in major multinational companies across other industries.
