Purpose of Role:

HR Business Partner – Corporate Functions is a high-impact people and talent strategic partner to the functional business & Corporate Division. 

 

As part of the Corporate & Functional Business Partner team, you'll be responsible for driving and executing people strategies that enable transformation, workforce agility, and organisational performance which are aligned to business objectives.

 

This role is pivotal in embedding the “One Weir” approach, supporting functional excellence, and enabling sustainable change and performance across the respective functional area.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Business Partnering: Responsible as a strategic people and talent partner to functional leaders aligning people strategies with business objectives to deliver solutions and high quality outcomes with tangible impacts. You'll deliver highly proactive HR advice & solutions to support interventions and initiatives to include organisational design, talent management, and strategic people planning and in collaboration with Reward, Employee Experience and Talent & Organisation Development CoEs to ensure alignment.

Data Driven Insights: You'll leverage workforce analytics to inform people & talent decisions and strategies and deliver compelling narratives to senior leaders. Additionally, you will use data to diagnose organisational needs, identify solutions and measure the impact of HR initiatives.

Strategic People & Workforce Planning: You'll lead the delivery of all cyclical people processes for your functional areas and businesses—including strategic people and workforce plans, talent reviews, succession planning (TDSP), oversight of all performance management cases, engagement, and compensation—ensuring alignment with business priorities and continuous improvement to deliver an excellent employee experience

Influencing, Coaching & Continuous Improvement: You'll build and maintain strong relationships to enable business outcomes, guiding leaders through high-impact decisions on team structure, leadership development, performance management, and talent planning. Your consultancy-based approach will ensure there is a strong focus on organisational capability in support the “North Star” vision for the function which will enable you to advise on and lead change initiatives to evolve organisational culture, build leadership capability, and drive adoption of new ways of working.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Recognised HR qualification or equivalent professional experience as a HR Business Partner in a globally matrixed company.

  • Natural curiosity and the proven ability to translate business priorities into effective HR strategies, actionable people plans, and processes aligned to global change agendas.

  • Skilled in engaging and influencing others across multiple geographies and matrix environments, you'll demonstrate strong commercial awareness, enabling credible positioning and the capacity to thoughtfully challenge when appropriate.

  • Results-oriented, technology minded, pragmatic, and action-focused, with a collaborative and consultative approach, you'll understand and be skilled at using data as part of the HRBP toolkit.
