Job Description

  

We are looking for a Local HR Business Partner for Spain to cover a maternity leave for approximately 6 months. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain end‑to‑end HR generalist exposure in a multinational environment, working closely with managers, employees, and Corporate HR teams.

The HRBP will act as the primary HR contact for Spain, supporting both managers and employees, ensuring compliance with Spanish labor legislation and Teledyne corporate policies, and delivering the full annual HR cycle.

This position is ideal for an early-career HR professional or an HRBP looking to accelerate their development, gain autonomy, and strengthen their international HR profile.

Key Responsibilities

(reporting to HR Spain Director)

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Lead and execute salary benchmarking studies for Spain.

  • Prepare, validate, and monitor monthly HR data for payroll, ensuring accuracy of changes (hires, exits, promotions, variable pay, leaves, etc.).

  • Ensure full compliance with Spanish labor law, internal policies, and global HR standards; advise managers on working conditions, health & safety, and social legislation.

  • Prepare and deliver accurate HR reports to Corporate stakeholders.

HR Systems & Data

  • Act as HR systems owner for Spain (Workday and Workforce Management).

  • Ensure data integrity, support managers and employees, and contribute to system improvements and roll‑outs.

Performance, Talent & Development

  • Partner with managers to execute the performance management process defined by the HR Director Spain.

  • Support staff review and calibration processes, ensuring fair and consistent talent decisions.

  • Identify training needs with managers and maintain the annual training plan.

  • Co‑create and validate development paths and contribute to skills monitoring initiatives.

Recruitment & Employer Branding

  • Execute the resource plan for Spain supporting managers on recruitment management (manage job postings, ensure strong candidate pipelines, support interviews, selection, and onboarding).

  • Coordinate recruitment processes, acting as a trusted HR partner to leadership.

  • Drive and promote Teledyne’s employer branding initiatives in Spain.

  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and improvement areas.

Employee Relations & Projects

  • Support individual and collective employee issues, contributing to a positive social climate.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, both in Spanish and English.

  • English level C1 (used in professional or academic settings; assessed during the interview).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to varying levels of complexity, ideally gained through a first HR role or internship.

  • Comfortable working in a multicultural, international environment (previous experience in an international company, shared service center, or study/work abroad is a plus).

  • A proactive, collaborative, and hands‑on mindset, with high ownership and accountability.

  • Strong sense of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

  • Solid command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • High competence using AI tools (ideally Copilot) to improve productivity and analysis.

  • Previous exposure to HR systems; knowledge of Workday and/or Workforce Management is a strong advantage.
