Job Purpose
To support and drive business performance through the effective implementation of the HR strategy across designated business areas in Italy.
This role acts as a trusted advisor to business leaders while also supporting payroll coordination activities in collaboration with an external provider.
This is a temporary contract (6–12 months) starting from May/June.
Responsibilities
HR Business Partnering
Partner with Line Directors and business leaders to deliver the people strategy and drive high performance
Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, organisational design, and change management
Lead quarterly people reviews and support workforce planning activities
Drive talent management initiatives including succession planning, performance cycles, and employee development
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to ensure hiring and development strategies meet business needs
Monitor employee engagement and lead action planning following engagement surveys
Ensure alignment with local employment law and company policies
Payroll Coordination (Approx. 15%)
Act as the main point of contact between TD SYNNEX and the external payroll provider (Studio Paghe)
Support monthly payroll activities including data collection, validation, and communication of employee changes (e.g. salary updates, absences, variable elements)
Review preliminary payroll outputs and ensure accuracy before final processing
Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll inputs in line with deadlines
Support internal stakeholders with payroll-related queries
Governance & Compliance
Contribute to Ethics Line case management where required, ensuring confidentiality and compliance
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist
Strong knowledge of Italian labour law
Experience working with external payroll providers (preferred)
Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business needs into HR solutions
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
Experience with Workday or similar HR systems is an advantage
Fluent in Italian and English
