Job Description:
The HR Business Partner serves as a proactive, strategic consultant to their client groups for all things people for teams in our Store Support Center (corporate). This individual consults with internal HR teams and business stakeholders to provide guidance and recommendations baked in best practices and adheres to RaceTrac’s talent philosophy, while ensuring a positive and collaborative experience for all involved. The HR Business Partner coaches leaders and employees on a variety of HR related topics in a true partnership approach with the business.
What You'll Be Doing:
Proactively seeks out opportunities to influence leadership and be a catalyst for change and improvement, while delivering the full scope of HR solutions to assigned client groups.
Partners with stakeholders to ensure employee and business needs are met, focusing on talent attraction, development, and retention.
Influences business and HR initiatives that support our short and long-term business goals, including driving practices that enable high performance and operational excellence.
Identifies people implications of organizational changes and delivers meaningful support in helping leaders navigate through those changes.
Fosters a culture of talent development and planning by conducting regular talent assessment and review initiatives.
Provides guidance support through employee lifecycle events (including performance management, career development, and employee relations).
Leverage relevant data, analytical aptitude, business acumen, and HR COE’s to identify trends, influence action, and support decision making.
Establishes solid relationships with employees and management throughout the company, serving as a trusted advisor.
Evaluates ongoing programs and processes and identifies any opportunities for improvement and makes recommendations to leaders based on feedback and data.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University, a concentration in Human Resources preferred
5 years’ experience within a Human Resources capacity
Ability to carry out duties and responsibilities listed above with independence
Strong ability to navigate difficult conversations and ambiguity
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships cross functionally
Strong communication skills both written and verbal required
Proven knowledge of Human Resources practices and concepts
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
