Air Liquide Romania has been present in the domestic market since 1999, and is a nationally recognized gas producer and supplier of technologies, services and gases for the food and beverage industry, large industries, the automotive industry, healthcare and the environment. Air Liquide Romania has a team of nearly 80 employees serving industrial customers.


 

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?


 

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a strategic consultant to managers and employees on all human resources-related issues. The mission is to align business objectives in designated business units. In Collaboration with the HR Director and Centres of Excellence, the HRBP serves as an employee champion, a talent driver, and a change agent, anticipating HR-related needs and delivering value-added services that reflect the business objectives of the organisation.


 

1. Strategic Partnering and Advisory

  • Works closely with managers and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to business leaders on organisational design, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Translates business strategies into HR initiatives and ensures their effective execution.

2. Talent Management and Acquisition

  • Supports the full employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, recruitment (in partnership with the TA CoE), onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Guides managers through the performance management process (in partnership with the TM CoE), ensuring regular feedback, objective evaluations, and development plans.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.

3. Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Conducts effective, thorough, and objective internal investigations when required.
  • Drives employee engagement initiatives and organizational culture improvements to foster a positive work environment.

4. HR Policy, Compliance, and Data

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of local labor laws and legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation to both managers and employees.
  • Analyzes HR metrics and trends (e.g., turnover, absenteeism) to develop solutions, programs, and policies.

5. Compensation and Benefits

  • Supports the annual compensation review and bonus processes for the designated perimeter.
  • Provides guidance on promotions, salary adjustments, and internal mobility to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.

6. Administration and Payroll

  • Provides support with all employee inquiries in close cooperation with the Global Business Services teams
  • Ensures monthly payroll is processed on time and with the expected level of accuracy, collaborating with the GBS Payroll team and third-party payroll vendor

Education:

  • University degree

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably working as HR Business Partner or in a senior generalist role. Proven experience in resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Experience in a manufacturing plant or production is considered a strong advantage. Experience in coordinating work processes and collaboration with Business Service Centres and Centres of Excellence.

Functional Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws, regulations, payroll processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) such as Workday.
  • Solid understanding of compensation and benefits frameworks.
  • Data-driven analytical skills to interpret HR metrics and build reports.
  • Business acumen with a good understanding of financial and operational drivers.

  • Communication and Influence: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Conflict Resolution: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to navigate difficult conversations calmly and objectively.
