Job Summary: THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a HR ASST (MIL) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2014000 (amendment 2) and is part of the NC G1, National Guard (JFHQ - G1- ID Card Facility / 1322-963).

Major Duties:

  • As a Human Resources Assistant (MIL), GS-0203-07 (RAPIDS Operator), you will manage the DEERS/RAPIDS System; update system with the current programs and software; troubleshoot problems with the DEERS/RAPIDS System; issue ID Cards to soldiers, dependents, retirees and civilians within the armed forces; assist individuals with problems with their records if not on file, updating information in the DEERS/RAPIDS system; perform reception duties and answer questions about eligibility, benefits and other pertinent information; review applications for completeness, accuracy and eligibility requirements; compile reports; secure all equipment for DEERS/RAPIDS System and the CAC Deployable systems; troubleshoot technical problems with the CAC Deployable; train personnel to operate the ID Card Stations; perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Military Grades: Enlisted (E4 to E5) Minimum Requirements: Administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: (Must have at least 12 months) experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or laws. Experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative functions. Experience performing personnel transactions. Experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control.
