Your key responsibilities
Facilitate and manage the employee lifecycle processes in partnership with People Team Centres of Excellence, supporting respective Business Partner and People Managers.
Own end to end Employee Relations Case Management Processes including absence management, performance management, disciplinary, grievances & investigations, flexible working and sickness absence - working closely with line managers and with BP/ER Manager as point of escalation – with a focus on fairness, consistency and adherence to policy timeline.
Interpret and guide Business Areas on People Policies and make recommendations to evolve where necessary to accommodate change in employment legislation and landscape.
Drive pre-approval processes to expedite pace. For example Recruitment front-end activity working directly with the Hiring Manager and Recruitment Partner.
Write and review documents requiring signature and gain approval in conjunction with BP. For example change to T&C, reporting line etc.
Handle general queries from COE partner in relation to business area and ensure workday organisational structure is up to date.
Support the HRBP’s with business change programmes such as re-organisations and consultations, running consultation processes where appropriate. Work with the wider People Team to ensure all back-end activities completed and systems are up to date.
Drafting settlement agreements, response letters, raising approvals for settlement agreement costs, liaising with legal advisors and calculating redundancy calculations, supporting the HRBP’s as required.
Supporting the HRBP’s on their Strategic workforce Plans with responsibility for accurate data entry to assess and manage colleague moves and leave types.
Support the HR Business Partners with Headcount Management processes such as raising approvals for roles and manage redundancy appeals.
Liaise with the Employee Relations Manager and maintain awareness of UK employment law and educate managers as required.
To work on projects and process improvements within the wider People Team as required, working closely with the COE’s and wider People operations team.
• Develops professional expertise by complying with company policies and procedures
• Works on problems of moderate scope where analysing situations or data requires a review on various factors
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
• Normally receives general instructions on routine work with detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
• Generally requires a bachelor's degree with a minimum 2 years related experience, or advanced degree without experience
Skills and Qualifications
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Proven work experience as an HR advisor, HR consultant or similar role including dealing with all types of ER casework and solid knowledge of UK employment law
CIPD qualification, degree in human resources or equivalent experience
Hands-on experience HR systems (Workday advantageous)
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Has a passion for being an Advisor and understands the value that this role brings to the team
Can demonstrate drive, resilience and flexibility with changing priorities and has real pace and energy about their work
Is warm, personable and happy to help in any way that they can
Enjoys and is confident in dealing with people of all levels face to face
Is a great team advocate and is happy to be involved in a wide variety of projects, with flexibility to travel on occasion

A real love of systems and processes with an ability to challenge our way of working and make recommendations for streamlining
Can understand and interpret technical language, especially with regard to HR policy and contracts, and has the ability to communicate this to others effectively
