The Global People Services team is responsible for providing Human Resources administrative and staff support for Global HR, employees and managers, training and advising on policies and procedures, onboarding new employees, processing terminations, and preparing letters and company documents. The team work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and work is generally of a critical, time-sensitive or confidential nature
The role
The local GPS Advisor plays a crucial role in delivering efficient and compliant GPS services specific to Romania within our HR Shared Services (HSS) model. This role is responsible for executing local HR operational tasks, ensuring adherence to local labor laws and company policies, and providing direct, on-the-ground support to employees and managers. Working closely with the broader HR Shared Service Center and local HR Business Partners, the specialist ensures seamless and effective HR experience for our local workforce.
Focus on employee experience and operational excellence and building relationships with people in various functions to ensure high quality service.
What you’ll be doing
• Be the Subject Matter Expert for a full employee life cycle for the HR SSC (GPS EMEA Team) regarding advisory of local labor law and best local HR practices.
• Ensure full compliance with local reporting obligations (Reges (ReviSal), AJOFM, Inspectorate of Immigrations, etc), including timely submission of all contractual and personal data updates
• Scheduling and preparing the necessary documents for occupational health check-up (upon hiring and periodical ones).
• Verifying, printing, distributing, signing and obtaining employee’s signatures (if needed) on employee life cycle letters and other documents prepared by HR SSC Centers for core processes (e.g. onboarding, offboarding, annexed, contacts etc. )
• Sending hard copies of documents to the payroll vendor if required.
• Scanning paper employee files and ensuring their proper storage in paper form.
• Tracking all employment law changes and making sure that the HR Shared Services Team is properly updated and trained.
• Representing and taking part in a local audits related to employment matters
• Resolving complex tasks related to Employee Relations that require a deep knowledge of the labor law
• Handle local leave management documentation (e.g., maternity, paternity, sick leave etc.) according to country-specific regulations, if required
• Ensure all local HR Operations activities are conducted in full compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
• Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate HRBP or specialized HSS team while retaining local context and follow-up.
• Participate in HR HSS (GPS EMEA) projects and initiatives aimed at standardizing and improving HR processes, bringing a local perspective.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within the local HR delivery scope.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze issues, interpret policies/regulations, and provide practical, compliant solutions. Time Management & Planning: Proven ability to effectively manage workload, prioritize tasks, and plan ahead to meet deadlines and service level agreements.
• Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees, managers, and cross-functional teams.
• English Language Level: upper-intermediate
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and PowerPoint presentations, is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HR) is a plus.
