Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Absence Management Analyst works under the direction of the Manager of Absence Management and is responsible for Absence operational issues, including being responsible for process improvements, software implementations and upgrades, mentoring and training team members, and serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Absence Administration and Americans with Disability Act Amendment Act (ADAAA).  Serves as a resource lead for the team, physicians, managers and staff.  This position involves an extensive amount of interactive customer service.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.

Preferred/Optional: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources and an Information Technology degree.  

EXPERIENCE 

Minimum Required: Two years’ direct FMLA administration experience, one year direct ADAAA experience, and two years’ experience with HRIS systems, applications and Adobe (experience may be concurrent, two years overall is required). Proficiency working with the Microsoft Office Suite products. Excellent written and oral communication skills for a variety of all types of audiences.

Preferred/Optional: Five years’ direct FMLA administration experience and two years’ ADAAA experience preferred. Relevant health care industry experience preferred.  

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES 

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.  Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: PHR or SPHR is preferred.
