The Housekeeping Supervisor ​is responsible for inspecting and/or assisting with cleaning all guest rooms, assisting all department employees to ensure timely completion of work, and maintaining a positive work environment. Will follow and reinforce Radisson cleanliness standards to ensure 100% Guest Satisfaction.

SHIFT:

Full Time; Hours will vary between 7am - 6:30pm, 5 shifts per week

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Ensure all operational and safety procedures are properly followed; inspects and approves employee work performance

  • Demonstrate leadership and provides training for all housekeeping employees  

  • Meets goals and expectations as it relates to the overall department and hotel operations

  • Establish schedules, work assignments and supervises payroll related items 

  • Assists with managing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping, public space and laundry areas for assigned shifts.  Ensures that the rooms and public space areas are spotless and continually restocked and straightened 

  • Tracks the inventory, purchasing and disbursement for all linens, cleaning supplies, customer room and restroom supplies, laundry supplies, etc. 

  •  Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement 

  • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations 

  • Assists with the cleaning of rooms, and other duties as needed

  • Performs all shift checklist responsibilities & reporting requirements

  • Be familiar with hotel, departments, hours of operation and services of the hotel

  • Answer basic Housekeeping related questions

REQUIREMENT/SKILLS:

  • Minimum one year in a supervisory or management housekeeping position required

  • Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Strong organizational skills, critical thinking skills, problem solver

  • Able to work a variable schedule

  • Follows instructions and communicates effectively

  • Operating Systems experience with Opera

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • May need to sit or stand for long periods of time

  • Proper lifting techniques required

  • Exertion up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and/or 50 pounds of forces frequently

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects

  • Ability to use various equipment such as vacuum cleaners and buffers

  • Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.

  • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
