Job Role...

A host at Soho House is responsible for welcoming and greeting members and guests, managing the table booking systems and supporting with floor team to seat current bookings and prepare tables for the next booking.

Your main responsibility is to ensure that members have an enjoyable experience. You will deliver excellent service from initial greeting and seating members and supporting with the floor team where needed.

Main Duties...

  • To welcome every member by name and guest with open arms and in a hospitable manner.
  • To respond to member inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • To monitor restaurant, club activity to determine seating and dining flow.
  • To manage the booking system to ensure members are seated according to their correct booking (restaurant only).
  • To ensure in real-time that any member related concerns are addressed and action items have been set and membership and management team have been notified.
  • To build relationships with members and communicate red flags and positive feedback to management and wider team.
  • To influence a fun and positive atmosphere by being approachable and professional.
  • To support floor team to prepare tables by setting up linens, cutlery and glasses.
  • To have good knowledge of our menus to provide detailed information on the food, drink, allergies and pairings.
  • To support with member complaints, handling all member interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism and escalating where required to membership team or your line manager.
  • To act in all matters related to safety, security, satisfaction and wellbeing of employees and members.
  • To assure the proper handling of VIPs and PWKs, protecting their privacy and confidentiality.
  • To support the team with any of their needs on an ad-hoc basis

Experience Required..

A successful Host/ess for Soho House will ideally have previous experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You’ll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects by hand
  • Able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required
