Hospitality Trainer (Certificate II)

Part‑time – 3 days per week

TSA Independent Schools provide a small school, relationship‑ rich‑ environment where young people in Years 10–12 reengage with learning, rebuild confidence and work towards meaningful futures. We are seeking a Hospitality Trainer who is passionate about supporting young people to grow academically, socially and vocationally. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, trauma informed‑ and committed to helping students flourish.

About the Role

As our Hospitality Trainer, you will:

  • Deliver and assess SIT20322 Certificate II in Hospitality
  • Facilitate pre‑certification hospitality classes that build foundational skills
  • Support students to participate in service learning with the Salvation Army Corps
  • Create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, youth workers and support staff
  • Maintain RTO compliant‑ assessment and documentation
  • Model TSA values of Integrity, Compassion, Respect, Diversity and Collaboration

This is a 3 day‑ per‑ ‑week position, with the possibility of full‑time employment for the right applicant.

About You

You will bring:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
  • Relevant hospitality industry experience
  • Experience delivering VET programs (school based‑ experience highly regarded)
  • A warm, patient and trauma-informed‑ approach
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to build positive relationships with young people
  • A commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs
