Hospitality Support Services Manager

Job Summary

This position is responsible for posturing and positioning the service delivery systems of the Hospitality Support Services department such that they can successfully exceed the expectations of patients, visitors and fellow associates. Will effectively and responsibly manage the departments in planning, organizing and administration of all phases of Hospitality Support Services. In the course of doing so, is responsible for related department budgets, cost control, staffing and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Essential Functions
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate programs for the onboarding, orientation, staff development and ongoing education of employees with varying skill levels. Work in coordination with training and development specialist and coordinator to develop educational materials tailored to meet the needs of the employees in each of the departments of responsibility.
  • Define, roll out, maintain and continuously improve hospitality support service shared services management methodology, standards and tools
  • Designs, implements and ensures compliance to standard operating procedures (SOPs), company policies and procedures
  • Ensure Environmental and Nutrition Services policies, programs and plans are consistent with and support Spectrum Health's core values and mission. Establishes and maintains relationships with the leaders of other Spectrum Health entities to ensure Environmental and Nutrition Services consistency and best practices among the hospitals
  • Ensures high standards of operation through clean and sanitary facilities by establishing a sustainable quality program. Establishes and communicates appropriate quality and customer service standards for designated service lines and programs. Implements procedures for measuring quality standards.

Qualifications
  • Required Associate's Degree in healthcare management, business of other related field
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in healthcare management , business of other related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience progressively responsible leadership experience in an organization of the size and comparable complexity of Corewell Health
  • 2 years of relevant experience leading an environmental, nutrition services or hospitality management function
  • CRT-ServSafe Allergen - NRA National Restaurant Association Hospitality preferred And
  • CRT-ServSafe Manager - NRA National Restaurant Association Hospitality preferred
  • CRT-Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) - AHE Association for the Healthcare Environment Hospitality preferred
  • CRT-Lean Bronze Certification - Hospitality preferred Or
  • CRT-Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (CSSBB) - preferred
