Overview of the role
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our 13-week Hospitality Internship Program. This rotational internship offers hands-on experience across three key departments: Front Desk, Food & Beverage, and Sales. Interns will gain comprehensive exposure to hotel operations, guest services, and sales strategies, setting the foundation for a career in the hospitality industry.
What you have
- Currently enrolled in a Hospitality, Tourism, or related degree program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends and holidays
- Passion for learning about the hospitality industry and building a career within it
What you’ll do
- Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs using the hotel's Property Management System (PMS)
- Provide excellent customer service by answering guest inquiries and resolving issues
- Manage guest reservations, modifications, and special requests
- Assist with the handling of phone calls, emails, and other forms of guest communication
- Support the concierge team by offering local recommendations and coordinating guest activities
- Gain exposure to both front-of-house and back-of-house operations
- Assist with greeting, seating, and serving guests in the hotel restaurant or bar
- Learn and follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Support the preparation and execution of banquets, catering, and special events
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure a smooth and efficient service
- Assist the Sales & Marketing team in planning and executing promotional activities
- Support in coordinating site visits, events, and group bookings
- Learn how to generate business leads, conduct market research, and analyze competitors
- Assist with preparing sales presentations and proposals for potential clients
- Gain insight into sales reporting, revenue management, and client relationships
