Position Summary:
Set up, clean, and take down classrooms, meeting rooms, and lounge for seminars and meal-related events. Move and arrange furniture to accommodate various layouts and event needs. Ensure spaces are clean, organized, and ready for use. Prepare and arrange refreshments and catered items for meals and events. May be required to follow up with catering vendors to confirm orders and delivery details. Load and unload catering equipment and food supplies as needed. Wash dishes, catering service ware, and coffee equipment thoroughly. Wipe down counters, trolleys, fridges, and storage areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Ensure all kitchen surfaces and equipment are sanitized and organized after use. Assist with general kitchen upkeep to support food service operations.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
High School Diploma 1 Year Related Experience. Must be service oriented and able to maintain a professional appearance at all times. Able to work individually as well as part of a team. Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #4 on a scale of 0-4.
