Job Description

To provide overall shift administrative responsibility for hospital; resource to staff for consultation with problem-solving and decision-making.  Determines shift resource re-allocation based on organizational and patient needs.  Manages patient throughput on assigned shift. Collaborates with physicians, charge nurses and clinical managers to determine appropriate patient placement.  Interfaces with the public for patient and family concerns.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Master’s degree in Nursing or in a health-related field preferred RN with 3 years of current clinical experience in an psychiatric setting or 3 years in a charge nurse or hospital supervisor role in psychiatric setting Epic user experience preferred Previous management or leadership experience preferred Advanced communication skills in advocacy, negotiation, confrontation and conflict resolution. Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate appropriately. The position requires availability at least 26 Saturdays and Sundays per year.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

Current California RN license required. Current BLS certification per unit standards required Specialty certification preferred

Salary Range:

$77.38 - $116.07 USD Hourly
