Cabrini’s Pharmacy Department
Cabrini Health Pharmacy Departments are located at Malvern and Brighton and provide a range of services to Cabrini patients, including clinical pharmacy, dispensing, procurement, sterile and cytotoxic manufacturing, and clinical trial management. We advocate the Quality Use of Medications which involved the safe, appropriate, effective, and cost-effective use of medications across the continuum of care.
About the role
As a Pharmacist at Cabrini, you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in a nurturing, collaborative environment working alongside experienced professionals. Our pharmacists have the opportunity to rotate through clinical wards, sterile and cytotoxic manufacturing and inpatient dispensing. You will be an essential member of all clinical teams and play a critical role in medication management.
Flexibility will be required to work over 5 days – Monday to Friday with some on-call, weekend and evening work on a rostered basis.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing pharmaceutical service to patients and clinicians, ensuring prescribing and dispensing compliance with legislative and professional requirements
Providing dispensing and medication counselling service to patients
Providing pharmaceutical information to health professionals
Ensuring medications are stored safely and appropriately
What we’re looking for
Current AHPRA Registration
Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy (desirable)
Well-developed computer skills
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be proactive and work well within a team
Sound prioritising and organisational skills with the ability to adapt to conflicting demands
High level of motivation and enthusiasm to learn
