MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking candidates interested in an Advanced Practice Provider Hospital Medicine Post-Graduate Fellowship.
2026-2027 Program Details:
This 12 month program will consist of approximately 2,000 clinical hours, rotating shifts based on preceptor availability, mandatory didactic learning (no less than bi-weekly), holiday rotation, and 12 hour in house shifts (7am-7pm, swing shifts, or 7pm-7am).
Candidate Requirements:
Proof of completion and graduation from an accredited program
Board Certification
Maine State License (unrestricted)
DEA license (unrestricted)
ACLS/BLS Certifications
Responsibilities:
Work within a team to provide comprehensive, evidence based, compassionate care for patients.
Be responsible for assessment, diagnosis, management, selection of interventions/treatment, educating patients/families, care coordination with interdisciplinary team, as well as follow-up evaluation of the patient's progress towards goals.
Have ownership of patients with complex medical conditions, and will manage all aspects of their care.
Will follow the same shift requirements as Hospitalist team members and will be required to stay for the duration of their shift.
Opportunities will be provided for additional inpatient learning outside of hospital medicine.
Specialty Externships/Rotations may include, but not be limited to the following, allowing fellow the opportunity to understand inpatient specialty care areas, work-up including testing, procedures and intervention, as well as appropriateness of consultation.
