Highlights of this role
• Inpatient swing shift, 7-on / 7-off
12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Weekends included in rotation; night rotation is rare
100% inpatient adult medicine
• No open ICU or procedures
• Position based at Atrium Health Cabarrus, a high-acuity community hospital serving Cabarrus County and surrounding areas

What you’ll do
• Perform comprehensive medical histories, physical examinations, routine assessments, and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Document all patient encounters, observations, interventions, and actions in a timely and clinically appropriate manner
• Serve as a patient and family advocate for the population served
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, service delivery optimization, and service excellence efforts
• Adhere to access, productivity, and clinical care standards to optimize patient outcomes
• Follow evidence-based protocols to deliver appropriate, cost-effective care
• Actively participate in assigned meetings, committees, and team collaboration

Who you are
• APP with inpatient or hospitalist experience preferred
New graduates will be considered
Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited PA program; NCCPA certification required
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing Practice required; active RN license and Acute Care board certification appropriate to patient population
• Strong critical thinker with sound clinical judgment
• Effective communicator with the ability to prioritize and make timely decisions in a fast-paced inpatient environment
